Guess What You Can Use Your Grill to Make?

Grilled Green Tomato Focaccia Sandwich

Everyone knows you can use a grill to make burgers. The same goes for hot dogs and other grill staples. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with whipping up any of those delicious basics, sometimes you want to flex your grill creativity. If you’re looking for an interesting new recipe to add to your grilling routine, we’ve got a handful of really awesome ones for you to try out:

Pesto and Mozzarella Pizzas

In the mood for pizza but don’t want to wait for a delivery, only to realize that the main ingredient in what you’re eating is grease? There’s no reason to settle for mediocre pizza when you can easily whip up delicious personal pizzas on your grill. All you need for this recipe is one pound of fresh pizza dough, 1/4 cup of pesto sauce, 3 plum tomatoes, 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese and coarsely ground black pepper. Work the dough into 4 pieces, put it on the hot grill rack for 2-3 minutes, put on the toppings and grill for 2-3 more minutes.

Grilled Green Tomato Focaccia Sandwiches

While a grill is a great way to whip up some very hearty meals that will keep you feeling full, there are times when you want something a little lighter. A great option that will fully satisfy your tastebuds without leaving you feeling stuffed is grilled green tomato focaccia sandwiches. This recipe calls for 1 pound of green tomatoes, 8 slices of Canadian bacon, 1 loaf of focaccia bread and 1 large lemon, along with mayo, black pepper, salt and olive oil. You’ll want to squeeze the lemon and combine it with the mayo and black pepper. Cut the tomato into four slices, then brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

Next, grill the green tomato slices for 6 to 7 minutes, turning once. Once they’re browned, grill the Canadian bacon for 2 minutes, followed by the focaccia for about 4 minutes. Put together all the elements and get ready to enjoy truly delicious sandwiches!

Vietnamese Chicken Salad

Continuing with our theme of lighter grill fare, vietnamese chicken salad is truly awesome when it features grilled chicken. While this recipe is a little more complicated than the first two (which is why we’re linking to a detailed recipe), it is well worth the effort. Once you master this dish, it won’t take long before everyone you serve it to will be asking for you to make it for them again.

If you’re excited about these recipes but don’t want to deal with cleaning up after you’re done grilling, our automatic grill cleaning robot will take care of that task for you!
